TATA CLiQ Return & Refund policy

Return policy:

With our simple return policy, you can quickly return any product if it’s damaged, defective, substantially different from what you received, or if any products or accessories are missing from the package.

To return any product purchased via the Website or App, you must adhere to the guidelines listed below, specifically:

  • Items must be returned unopened and in their original packaging, together with any accessories, freebies, original boxes designated as necessities, price tags, labels, packing, barcodes, user manuals, warranty cards, and invoices.
  • A product will not be accepted for return and will be sent back to you if it is returned without the necessary components.
  • These are necessary details to be shipped with the product, and Tata Uni Store reserves the right to refuse any such returns in the absence of a complete product not turned over to the logistics partner. If the logistics partner confirms the same at your door, he may refuse to pick up the product.
  • To prevent product damage during shipping, return items must be securely and sufficiently packed.
  • To ascertain the validity of the complaint or return, the vendors selling on Tata UniStore are entitled to verify and inspect the returned merchandise.
  • Should you decide to return the product after selecting the partner store option for order delivery, you should do so to the same store where you picked up the order or to another location that the partner may occasionally permit.
  • Along with all of the original price tags, labels, packaging, barcodes, user manuals, warranty cards, accessories, freebies, and boxes received, you must return the goods in its original, unused condition.
  • If appropriate, the return must adhere to the seller’s or the product manufacturer’s return guidelines.

Not returnable items:

Within the time frame specified in the returns policy, Tata UniStore should be contacted upon delivery of any defective or damaged goods, or if the product differs materially from the original order, or if a shipment is delivered without one or more products or accessories.

As per the returns policy and procedure, Tata UniStore or Seller shall not be required to accept the returned product or be liable in this regard if You are unable to notify them of the receipt of a damaged or defective product, if the product is not as per the specifications of Your order, or if the package delivered is missing one or more products or accessories. Should such a product be sent to the seller, the client will receive their money back. If the product is refused, neither Tata UniStore nor the supplier will be held liable, and no reimbursement will be given.

Non-returnable products may only be returned if they are flawed, damaged, or delivered differently than what was advertised:

  • Should You receive a product that is damaged or defective, or one that deviates from the specifications of your original purchase, or if the package you received is incomplete and qualifies for a return as outlined in the Return Policy, you must contact our Customer Care Team at 022-68078282, available Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., or submit an online return request via the CLiQ Care Page.
  • Once Tata UniStore receives Your return request, it will check the request’s validity and type. In some cases, we can want to see pictures of the goods and its packing in order to verify the return’s justification.
  • After receiving and inspecting the returned product, Tata UniStore will notify the seller of the return request and request that a refund be issued. A minimum of 4 to 6 business days will pass before your request for a product return is processed.
  • The merchandise pick-up will be arranged by Tata UniStore or the vendor via a designated logistics service partner. The email address or mobile number you provide Tata UniStore will receive an email, SMS, or notification from us. Please be aware that your return will be canceled if we are unable to pick up your order after three attempts.
  • You’ll receive an email or SMS confirmation at the email address or mobile number you supplied to Tata UniStore upon the seller receiving the returned item and completing the quality check.

You hereby specifically acknowledge that Tata UniStore shall not be held liable in any way for any claims you may have in relation to such products, including but not limited to, defective or damaged goods, goods that do not match the specifications of Your original order, delayed order delivery, or delivery of the package with one or more products or accessories missing.

In the case of a disagreement, Tata UniStore will work with You and the vendor to find a reasonable resolution. According to the definition given by the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the regulations formed thereunder, Tata UniStore is merely an intermediary and a facilitating link between You and the supplier; Tata UniStore shall have no liability whatsoever.

  • Accessories for Footwear and Sports & Fitness Equipment. There are no returns accepted for any of the products from Sports & Fitness Equipment, including Footwear Accessories.
  • Jewelry –  nose pins, nose rings, bars, stones, and coins
  • Technology and Beauty – Every item sold by Beauty and Electronics cannot be returned.
  • Watches – digital watches, smartwatches, and every item bearing the TISSOT trademark

Return Request:

A request for return once made can be cancelled through app/website from “My orders” section. In case the Logistics Service provider arrives to receive the shipment and You want to cancel the request, You may choose to inform the logistics service provider that You do not wish to return the product. You will receive an email or SMS notification at the email address or mobile number provided to Tata UniStore. Please note that if we are unable to pick up your order within three attempts, the return will be cancelled. 

Return request denied: Any request for a return may be rejected or canceled by Tata UniStore. You won’t be reimbursed for the money you paid or any associated expenses if the return request is denied by the Returns Policy. You also won’t be able to submit a second return request for the same item. You further agree not to hold Tata UniStore accountable for any refuse or cancellation and to accept the decision made by Tata UniStore about the refusal or cancellation.

Procedure for Return Shipping:

Before approving or allowing a return of a damaged product, Tata UniStore may request images of the damaged item. A complete refund, including any relevant processing fees, will be given upon approval of the return.

When the merchandise is picked up, you must give it to the designated logistics service provider for Tata UniStore-managed return shipping. Tata UniStore or the logistics service provider will not be held liable for the delay in pick-up or processing of the quality check by the seller and, consequently, the refund in the event that the logistics service provider tries to pick-up the product and You are unavailable or not ready to handover the product. The logistics service provider will try no more than three times to pick up the returned item.

If products are unintentionally returned, Tata UniStore will not be held responsible.

If a product that is not owned by the seller on Tata UniStore is returned by mistake, Tata UniStore will not be held liable for the product’s loss, its return to you, any fees you may incur, or any reimbursement.

Refund Policy:

Refunds are given for product cancellations and returns, subject to the qualifying cancellation and return requirements outlined in the Return Policy or these terms and conditions, which must be started in compliance with the Return or Cancellation Policy.

If an order is canceled, the full order amount—including the processing fee—will be refunded.

We are unable to reimburse the Platform, Shipping, and Packaging Fees associated with orders that are returned after they have been delivered to the client.

 If an order is returned before it is accepted for delivery, or if it is undelivered, the product amount only—not the processing fee—will be refunded once it ships.

Processing costs are not refundable for accounts whose return behavior contravenes our fair usage policy, regardless of the order value.

Please be aware that Tata Unistore starts processing refunds either at the door or after the seller receives the returned item and the quality check is complete. As a result, the time it takes for the courier partner to deliver the return to Tata UniStore or the seller may affect when the refund starts.

If You receive a refund while the quality checks are ongoing, You agree to hold the funds in trust on behalf of Tata UniStore until the quality checks are completed, unless Tata UniStore makes a claim sooner. You will transmit any money that is incorrectly paid to you or reimbursed to you.

Orders with Cash on Delivery options will not be eligible for a refund owing to non-deliverability.

Refund Mechanism:

As soon as the refund amount is transferred to Your source account, there is no way to change the manner of payment return. Refunds are returned to the original payment method.

We will provide a refund that you must redeem in order to get an immediate refund if a refund for a payment method other than Cash on Delivery is not processed back to the source.

To allow us to complete a refund to Your account, you will need to alter the IFSC code and bank account number. The name on Your Tata UniStore account must match the name of the bank account holder who provided the information for the NEFT refund in order for refunds to be processed to third-party accounts. You will receive a confirmation of the refund commencement via email or SMS at the email address or cellphone number you gave Tata UniStore.

Refund periods:

The refund money is anticipated to appear in the customer account within the following timeframes once Tata UniStore initiates the refund in compliance with the Returns Policy:

  • Neu Coins and an Electronic Gift Card: Instantaneous
  • Online Refund: Depending on your bank partner, 3 to 6 working days after the refund is initiated.

The amount may not appear in your source account for up to 8–10 working days at some public sector institutions.

Refunds for interest paid by the bank offering the EMI scheme will not be made until the request for cancellation or return is made.

Any mistakes or delays in refunds caused by banks or other third-party service providers are not the responsibility of Tata Uni Store.
