SpiceJet Refund & Cancellation policy

REFUND POLICY

Tickets bought more than a week in advance and within 24 hours of departure are fully refundable under SpiceJet’s refund policy.

Depending on where clients purchased their flights, different SpiceJet cancellation refund rules will be in place.

A fine of INR 3,000 (the base fare plus the fuel surcharge) would be imposed for each domestic flight reservation cancellation, per passenger, per sector, and per changer.

Any changes to a domestic passenger’s booking will incur a cost of 2250 INR per passenger, in accordance with SpiceJet’s refund policy. If the same fare is not available, the fare difference will be charged to the change cost in addition to any other applicable fees.

The SpiceJet office where the ticket was purchased must promptly provide a refund when payment is made in cash. Within seven days of the cancellation, the credit card holder will receive a refund if they have already made a payment using their credit card.
Refunds for credit cards will be processed within 7 to 10 business days. Payments made with debit cards and other payment methods may take up to 20 business days to process.

“Look-in option” will be available from Spicejet for 24 hours following ticket purchase. Except for the regular existing rate for the revised flight for which the ticket is asked to be altered, passengers may cancel or amend their tickets within this time without incurring any additional fees. The availability of this option is restricted to flights departing within 7 days of the booking date. To take advantage of this service, the traveller must contact SpiceJet’s phone center.
A fee of Rs. 250 per passenger per trip will be charged for booking cancellations and flight modifications made through SpiceJet Reservations or airport ticket kiosks.

Any request to modify the sector of a reservation for any domestic flight will be subject to the applicable cancellation fees for that class of reservation or, if less expensive, the base fare plus the fuel surcharge per passenger per sector per change. In addition to this change cost and any other applicable fees, the difference in rates will be charged if the same fare is not available at the time of the change. All prices are liable to change at any time.

Refunds for cancelled payments made through the website using debit or credit cards, Net Banking, Wallets, or UPI will be processed and refunded back to the original account within seven business days.

Refunds for cash transactions can only be made through an online bank transfer.
Refunds for tickets cancelled through online travel agencies, travel agencies, or comparable platforms will be issued within seven (7) business days of the ticket cancellation.
Meals, Spice-Max, Excess Baggage, and Preferred Bag Out are examples of add-on services that cannot be cancelled separately.

CANCELLATION POLICY

In the airline sector, SpiceJet offers one of the most convenient cancellation procedures. Customers can cancel their tickets up to two hours prior to the flight’s planned departure time. The type of ticket bought and the cancellation time determine how much is returned to the customer. A 100% cancellation fee will apply for any cancellations made less than two hours before the flight leaves.

Customers who buy tickets directly from SpiceJet and cancel within 24 hours of purchase are eligible for a full refund. This reimbursement is available at the airport counter and on the SpiceJet website. Consumers may also choose to purchase a credit shell, which will allow them to spend the full amount of their initial ticket on a future SpiceJet flight.

The terms of the third party apply to customers who bought tickets via a travel agency or any other third-party platform. In these situations, consumers who have questions about cancellations or refunds will need to get in touch with a third party. It is significant to remember that all refunds will be handled within 15 business days following the cancellation.

  • The type of ticket booked and the moment of cancellation will determine how much is returned.
