Refunds Timeline
Google Play refunds are issued back to the original payment method used for the transaction. Depending on how you paid, refunds take varying lengths of time.

Check your Google Pay account to see the status of your refund if it takes longer than anticipated. Should the status be “Refunded,” your payment method will show a credit. In the event that the status is “Cancelled,” there will be no credit on your payment method because the order was never charged.

Make a refund request for recent purchases.

  • In the event that you purchased an app or made an in-app purchase less than 48 hours ago, you can use Google Play to obtain a refund.
  • If you purchased any media, including books, movies, or other content: Check the policy below to see if you can get a refund more than 48 hours after making your purchase.
  • Although it may take up to four business days, you will often receive a verdict in one business day.
