Trip request Rejection or Expiration
If your trip request was denied or if it expired before being granted, Airbnb provides a refund with processing within up to fifteen business days. Indian guests are charged the total cost of the reservation since the company uses a two-factor authentication.
The process of either cashing or refund after checking in differ in that the latter is more complex. For refunding, one has to provide the details in the Resolution Centre, choose the requirement reservation, select the reason for refund and input the required amount, currency and note.
Airbnb manages the payment within two business days from the acceptance, and the guest may lodge the claim within a day. Any complaint regarding a reservation must be lodged within three days of booking through Airbnb or the host.
Submit a request no later than 72 hours
In case you have to make changes to your reservation, you simply contact your host and ask for a refund. If you are dissatisfied with the room you can ask for a partial refund, report the problem to the host, or cancel the order and receive a full refund.
If the host refuses or if thereโs no response at all, then you can inform Airbnb to step in. To get a refund, report a problem, ask for help within 72 hours, and then wait for an answer.
Experience:
In regard to experiences, Airbnb allows customers to cancel it and even give a full or partial refund in case it hinders an experience. If a mistake happens within the 72 hours then there will be the refund of the productโs money.
This depends with the level of the problem, the guest influence and whether they are in a position to come. That said, guests can cancel bookings 14 whole days prior to arrival and up to five days before check-in and receive refunds for the rate of the night as well as the cleaning fee.

They allow complimentary changes or cancellations as follows: up to 14 days before check-in, 48 hours from booking and 24 hours before check-in, with a refund of a standard cleaning fee, and the price of the nights canceled but no service charge.
Modest
Cancellation is free up to 14 days before check-in, for any booking made 48 hours are free, and for any booking done within 5 working day before check-in. Cancellations are allowed only with full refund of the nightโs rate.
Tight
For the visitors who cancel their booking at least 14 days before check-in, the hotel provides a 48-hour free cancellation policy; or a 50 % refund of the nightly rate less the cleaning fee is provided when visitors cancel their booking at least 14 days before check-in or before 48 hours of check in.
Long term (Accommodation booked directly for at least 28 days)
If a customer cancels a booking before check-in, both the service charge and the first thirty days are refundable.
Said to be extremely limited 30-day period
Guests receive 50 percent refund of the nightly rate and cleaning fee if cancelled at least 30 days prior to arrival; however service fee is non-refundable.
Extremely Rigid 60 Days
Free cancellation with a 50% amt refund of the room rate minus the service charge, subject to cancellation at least 60 days prior to check-in & only for certain hosts.
